CyberDodo at the Hamara Foundation

Submitted by on mardi, 12 juillet 2011No Comment

After the beautiful school of Thane, the CyberDodo Global association organised June 30th a presentation about the United Nations International Convention on the Rights of the Child at the Hamara Foundation situated in Central Mumbai.

This organisation, which is dedicated to street children, has made a huge effort to support them and help them to have access to medical care, education and even to a future in which they can develop their potential.

Thanks to our extraordinary Ambassador Divyanka Tripathi, I believe that that the children who attended had a wonderful time and are now aware of what the essential text of the Convention is all about.

There was a unique atmosphere and the applause was accompanied by shouts of laughter

These children had a depth and history in their eyes which needs no further comment – have a look at these 2 little girls.

Our approach was simple and concrete, informing them of the existence of this ‘contract’ between adults and children, then inviting them to sign it with their own hands, which they did with overwhelming joy.

The presentation ended with a meal for the children at the Foundation, but our day did not end there – after that we went with one of the Foundation’s social workers to the Mumbai Central Station to meet the children that live and work there.
