September and October 2014 photo competition = a SONY PS4 to be won!
Good morning all,
The number of overweight people has been constantly on the rise since the 1980s and today almost 1.5 billion people are suffering from obesity throughout the world. The figures have doubled in just 10 years amongst children, the main concern of our NGO CyberDodo.
Several factors explain this veritable epidemic (For more information, please refer to the free case file that you will find online by clicking here and to the quiz by clicking here): genetic, poverty, Fast Food, industrial food, education, publicity, etc.
In fact, the World Health Organisation (WHO) recognised obesity as an illness in 1997 and estimated that there were 40 million children from the age of at least 5 years who were overweight in 2012. The consequences are terrible: a reduced life expectancy (from 50 to 75%), diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, various illnesses, desocialisation, etc.
The good news is that we can fight against this scourge, but it must be our desire to be helped and informed about it, and this is CyberDodo’s mission: to globally disseminate a message of respect and conservation.
Therefore we are organising this photo competition on child obesity until 31 October 2014 so as to make our members aware, particularly among the 150 countries that regularly visit www.CyberDodo.org.
What picture can you send in to the competition?
What could you win?
